Upcoming Book Tour
Beginning in December 2007, I will be making several appearances around the country promoting my book on dialogue. In addition to giving speeches and media interviews about the power of dialogue, I will also sometimes be illustrating this power by facilitating inclusive discussions on important topics of community concern. The tour will include several cities including: Omaha, NE; Richmond VA; Detroit MI; Oakland CA; Washington DC.

David’s Bio
David Campt is the founder of the The DWC Group (www.thedwcgroup.com) which is a group of experts who help corporations, non-profits, communities, and universities harness the power of dialogue to make smarter decisions and become more inclusive. He has presented and utilized dialogue principles at board of directors’ at retreats as well as large meetings with 4,000 people in dynamic small group conversations.
Often known as The RaceDoctor (www.racedoctor.org), David frequently provides his insights on race relations and diversity in national media outlets such as Black Enterprise magazine, BET, and the Tom Joiner Morning Show. He also has appeared on television and radio in top 10 media markets.
David’s expertise in these issues has been sought out by Members of Congress, Fortune 500 companies, museums, foundations, and international peacebuilding organizations. In the late 1990’s, he served as Senior Policy Advisor at the White House for the President’s Initiative on Race. David has an undergraduate degree from Princeton University, and Masters and Doctorate degrees from the University of California at Berkeley.
Lisa’s Bio
Lisa Schirch is a professor of peacebuilding at Eastern Mennonite University.
A former Fulbright Fellow in East and West Africa, Schirch has worked in over 20 countries with communities and government leaders to build peace and security.
She is the program director of the 3D Security Initiative at www.3Dsecurity.org to help make the links between community level peacebuilding work with think tanks, Members of Congress, State Department, Department of Defense, USAID, and others that shape U.S. foreign policy.
She specializes in building peace and security through sustainable development and multi-track diplomacy. Her current work explores the intersection of conflict prevention and climate change; Africom, and U.S. policies on Iran, Iraq, and border security.
She is the author of 5 books on peacebuilding and conflict prevention.
She holds a B.A. in International Relations, and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from George Mason University.
